Joe Frater

Joe grew up in northern california where he has developed an obsession for blacktails and turkeys. He loves hunting in his hometown where he picks a particular buck that he likes and tries to pattern him and outsmart him in his own bedroom with a treestand or ground blind. He started bowhunting at the age of 15 and his love gets stronger every season. It took him 3 years of trying before he finally killed his first deer with a bow. He has spent 4 seasons guiding elk and mule deer hunters in Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico. He has also traveld all across North America hunting and filming hunts for television from whitetails to elk to black bears. He is a regular contributing writer for the California Magazine Relentless365 and takes advantage of every opportunity California has to offer for the hunter. He also enjoys taking friends in the outdoors and introducing them to what he is so passionate about. Family and friend are most important to Joe and he cherishes every moment with them. He spent 2 years living in China and it helped him realize whats important in life and appreciate the “American Ways.” If he is not in the woods you will find him spending time with the people who are most important to him.
