Why We Built the Omega Ascender — Crossbow Broadhead
Ask most crossbow hunters about the front of their bolt and you'll get a shrug. It's the part nobody thinks about — until something goes wrong. A miss you can't explain. An outsert that backed out after a season of shooting. A broadhead that skated instead of buried on a hard-quartering hit.
We thought about it a lot. And the more we looked at how a traditional crossbow front end is built, the more it bothered us.

The Problem With the Traditional Front End
A standard crossbow build stacks four separate parts at the tip: the bolt, an insert, an outsert, and a broadhead. Each of those connections has to be glued or threaded, and each one is a place where things can loosen, misalign, or fail.
Today's crossbows only raise the stakes. With plenty of bows pushing 400+ FPS, the demands on that small stack of parts are higher than they've ever been.
More parts. More interfaces. More ways to lose a shot you'll only get once.
Our Answer: The Integrated Outsert System
The Omega Ascender removes those weak points by doing something simple — it combines the broadhead and the adapter into a single unit machined from one piece of American S7 tool steel.
Instead of sitting on top of your bolt, the front end overlaps it. The bolt extends into the Ascender assembly, so the system supports the tip rather than stacking more parts onto it. We call it the Integrated Outsert System.
No glued-on outsert. No separate interfaces to work loose. A straight, supported front end designed for better alignment and concentricity at crossbow speeds.

What Makes It Different
One-piece S7 tool steel. CNC-machined and heat-treated to 56–58 Rockwell for edge retention and impact strength — not stamped, not assembled.
Single bevel, right-hand. Bone-splitting geometry that drives rotation for deep penetration, on a 1-1/16" cutting diameter.
Tanto tip. A cut-on-contact point built to survive hard contact instead of rolling over.
Patent-pending LAYFLAT™ sharpening. The single bevel lays flat on a stone and comes back fast — no jig, no fixture, no angle guide. Shoot it, sharpen it, shoot it again.

Dial In Your Weight Without Changing Your Head
The Ascender is available in 125, 150, 175, and 200 grain total front-end weights. Here's the part hunters tend to like: the broadhead itself is a single fixed weight. The options come from the adapter, so you can tune your total front-end weight to your setup without ever changing the head you trust.
The 25 gr adapter is aluminum; the 50, 75, and 100 gr adapters are stainless steel.
One thing to check before you order: the Ascender fits .300 ID / .350 OD bolts. Measure yours, or check the spec sheet from your bolt manufacturer.

Somewhere along the way the industry decided a broadhead is a consumable. Bend one, dull one, lose a blade, buy three more. We've never built for that.
