A single bevel blade is sharpened on one side, so it rotates as it passes through tissue and tends to split bone instead of glancing off. That makes single bevels a strong choice for elk, hogs and other heavy-boned game, and for hunters running heavier arrows with good FOC. Match your bevel to your fletching: right bevel with right helical, left bevel with left helical. Our Omega uses LAYFLAT™ sharpening, so you lay it flat on a stone with no jig.
